The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping Adults, children and infants, (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital, dental offices, physicians office, physical therapy clinics, home healthcare agencies, student nurses and more. This class is for certified or non certified, licensed or non licensed healthcare professionals.

The American Heart Association BLS Online Course is for anyone who may not have time to sit in the classroom portion of the course, or anyone who prefers an interactive online training course. This course and certification card are identical to the "in classroom" BLS Course. Skills sessions take approximately 30 mins to complete.

 
Complete this course in three easy steps:

 
Step 1: Register for the course. Online access is immediately emailed to you after registration (Online course time approximately 1.5 hours to complete.)

 
Step 2:  Complete the course and print your certificate of completion, or you may email it to GoGetCertified@gmail.com

 
Step 3: Completing your skills session (approximately 30 mins to complete). We offer skills sessions Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, and Saturday's at 9am. Details on how to register are included in the confirmation email. Skills sessions must be requested 12 or more hours in advance. Do not register for your skills session through the American Heart Association website.

*Skills session is included in the cost of the online course.

This is the hands on skills practical exam (parts 2 & 3) for anyone that has completed the online BLS Providers Course. This is required to recieve your certification card.

 

You have 2 options for taking the Skills Session.

 

Option 1: You may choose to participate in a group skills session by clicking on an available date below.

 

Option 2: You may choose to participate in an individual skills session offered every day at our Fairfax location between 10am and 6pm by clicking here. There is no cost difference between the two options.

 

Course Cost: $59.00

An American Heart Association approved course offers hands-on practical interactive instruction with the use of a video/DVD. Examples of relevant experiences are included in the discussions.  Manikins are provided for the students to perform specific psychomotor objectives for the various modules. A maximum of two participants per manikin is used for optimum instruction. A maximum of six participants per AED is used. Class completion is approximately three hours with each participant required to pass a skills test by demonstrating competency in the following

    * Adult/Child/Infant CPR
    * Use of an AED

An American Heart Association completion card will be issued upon successful completion of the course. The certification is valid for 2 years.

The American Heart Association ACLS Online Course is for anyone who may not have time to sit in the classroom portion of the course, or anyone who prefers an interactive online training course. This course and certification card are identical to the "in classroom" ACLS Course.

The Instructor Certification Course is designed to prepare Instructors to disseminate the science, skills, and philosophy of the resuscitation programs to participants enrolled in AHA courses.  Instructors Candidates may choose between two disciplines: Heartsaver Instructor or healthcare Provider Instructor. A current Provider card in the discipline (i.e., BLS, Heartsaver) you wish to teach is required.

 

The Heartsaver instructor course is designed for individuals who wish to instruct non medical personnel (i.e., child care givers, security guards, baby sitters, teachers, adult care givers).  Heartsaver Instructors may not teach Healthcare Providers, only non-healthcare.
